Something wrong?

HushHour is a small, free, open-source app, and support for it lives where the code does. GitHub issues is the place โ€” bug reports, crashes, feature requests and questions all go there, and they are read.

Before you file

It helps to say which version you are on, which distribution, and what you did immediately before the thing went wrong. If it is a rendering problem, a screenshot saves a lot of back and forth.

Getting it running

The download is an AppImage for x86_64. Download it from the latest release, make it executable, and run it:

  • chmod +x HushHour-0.2.2-x86_64.AppImage
  • ./HushHour-0.2.2-x86_64.AppImage

There is no installer: the AppImage is the whole app, and removing it is deleting that one file. Your settings, and any music you added, stay in HushHour's own folders under your home directory until you delete those too. Your documents are untouched either way โ€” they are wherever you saved them. A Flathub submission is in progress but not listed yet.

It used to be called Inkpad

The project was named Inkpad until 0.2.0. If you have an older build or an old link, that is the same app under its previous name.

Your writing

Your documents are ordinary Markdown files in the folder you chose, so recovering, backing up or moving them is a file-manager job rather than an app feature. HushHour saves atomically, which means an interrupted write leaves the previous version intact rather than a truncated file.

Privacy

There is nothing to request or delete, because nothing is collected. The privacy policy is short for that reason.
